| Our private uses weighted but also grades on a 1-100 scale not 4.0 scale. |
Is this true for everyone? It looks like ours just added new data in the first page with “average GPA/test scores” but the scattergrams haven’t changed (yet?) |
| Our Naviance still hasn’t updated. Just venting. Anyone else in same boat? |
|
Follow the data for your school IF you are full pay (or close) AND considered a domestic US applicant.
Slacs are frequently need-aware and some get a lot of international applicants, for whom admission is typically tougher (and even need blind schools may be need aware for international students). |
Ours updated in early June. |
Ours did. |
What would be an A+ in an AP class on the 100 scale? |
| Anyone else still waiting for Naviance to update 2025 results? Why so long the wait? |
| We are still waiting. Counselor says “sometime in late July.”! Not helpful. |
Ours seems to get updates in dribs & drabs as students get accepted. It’s a terrible system. I am unclear if the colleges, our school counselors or students themselves input the data. It’s a messy, incomplete program. We have students who matriculate to specific universities and it’s never reflected in Naviance. |
Do you really need to pinpoint it to a specific day in the coming week? A few days will make that big a difference for you? |
|
FYI:
If there are outliers to the data from last cycle, it’s probably not relevant to you (unless your kid is also an outlier). It’s rare for there to be giant shifts or swings from year to year in the gpa/test data if they are not substantiated by something specific to the candidate’s profile. My ‘25 kid was an outlier and got into several reach schools test optional. Had a talent/ability (evidenced by national individual accolades and awards) that certain schools were actively looking for (institutional priorities). We didn’t know it at the time when applying, but came to find out after the fact. So that test data could be an outlier. |
Surprised that Denison is that high. I would have thought it would have been lower considering the GPA required of the other schools. Or has Colgate really fallen that much in desirability? |
At our private, Colgate has fallen a lot too. |
