I would do it, but maybe look at accommodation first--it can be very expensive, especially in Dublin.

Dublin is great for music and history lovers. The bars with live music will let kids in; earlier in the day/evening is better.

They do also release day of tickets that you can snag if you try very early in the day.

This is how we got tickets. Checked that morning once we were already in Dublin.

Years ago (when I was 13 / I’m 46 now) I stayed in the countryside in Ireland for a few days and it was magical! Definitely great for teens. My mom and I were visiting my best friend - whose family was on sabbatical in London - and we all went to Ireland from there. My friend’s family went for a week or so but my mom and I just had a few days. I took a walk among sheep and saw a pregnant ewe that had delivered her lamb by the time I returned, visited some ruins, went to Simon pierce pottery, chased chickens in the yard, hiked along cliffs, and ate amazing food.
