Not really, it was more like one long season separated by a break.

I don’t get why he killed himself in the final game of sky squid game. I thought once they get to the final circle, they don’t have to kill anyone and can divide up the prize money.

I don’t get why the crypto dude wanted to kill Gihun and his kid. I assumed he wanted to off the other guys so they all can collectively win

No, you definitely need to watch season 2 first.

They had to push at least one person off each time, after they pushed the button

The red button wasn't pushed so the death didn't count.

My DH called the ending as soon as baby came, but I thought something would still happen to stop the games. They all vote X, or the fire alarm goes off and they evacuate early. Idk I’m left unsatisfied.

I do think the next season(s) will also explore In-ho’s (frontman) back story. We saw a tiny sliver in this, so what else will we see?

I also wonder, did he (in-ho) spend his time in running the games to prove that everyone would make the same awful choices he did? He finally found someone he couldn’t corrupt to a fault?

The way it's left leaves plenty of room for more seasons, but I think this was the end. I'd love to be wrong about that though!

The show runner said it’s the end, but David Fincher is directing an American spinoff. Which I presume the surprise guest star at the end teases.

Fincher's involvement is a good sign.

I said to my H, Fincher is probably the only person I'd trust with this franchise. He knows how to work with horror and mystery and the dark side of culture. Plus Netflix usually gives the creatives freedom, so I think it could work...though I'm not sure how it will translate to the American world. Because frankly race is a factor in the US. But maybe we'll even get some Trent and Atticus music.

But yes, season 3 seemed the most brutal.
