Based on our experience, not doing the fall training with MOCO reduces your chances of making a team. Participation in the fall training might show some sort of commitment to the club. But that's not all: they get to know the players during the fall training program and they give the participants additional rope. We know one player who was offered a spot on a MOCO team, even though she could not show up at the tryouts (because of an injury). The offer was based entirely on her participation at the fall training. |
In our experience, if you sign up you will get into at least 1 club prep session with MOCO. They are pretty open about how they run the sessions. You put in a request with all of the sessions you can attend and then they send you an email a few days before either confirming you or not. I don’t think they run any “secret” invite-only clinics that other clubs run, or at least none that we heard of last year. So even though it fills up like all the clinics in the area, you’ll have a chance to be seen and to see their coaches. |
In the pre-tryout clinics, MoCo will tell you that if you signed up for multiple clinics, they may turn you down so that others who have not yet attended but signed up can attend. |
That's just not fair. |
I understand that part but how quickly is pretty quickly? Minutes, Seconds, Hours. |
