Perimenopause and…itchiness?

Yes - my boobs were so itchy. It was crazy. Getting an estrogen patch and moisturizing has helped.

Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I don't want to alarm any of you, but sometimes it's not peri, but it's auto-immune disease. If it doesn't go away with the methods suggested by others, please insist on a check-up with common inflammation markers. This is especially true if you are naturally prone to skin issues and eczema. I have two autoimmune diseases and have had skin issues all my life, but with peri, it just makes everything worse.

The night sweats for me are much worse than the itching though. 3-5 am im a wet rat.

OMG 😱 mine are the same spots and wake up the same way. I can't believe we itch the same random places.

I’m in peri and my inner thighs have been really itchy, especially when wearing leggings or athletic pants. It’s awful.

That's a pretty serious condition called lichen sclerosis and needs to be taken seriously to prevent permanent scarring.

Lichen sclerosis. I developed this in my 20s. Always in the week before my cycle. My mother developed it after menopause. So while it is autoimmune, hormonal changes can trigger a flair. There is prescription cream that manages it well.

Histamine issues- need to aid the body of getting rid excess estrogen. People suggest DAO enzyme.

I also read that some people take Flonase or an allergy pill everyday.
