I’m reading that it may accelerate actual aging of the skin…not just look like it because of rapid weight loss,,,but actually change it.

^ was listening to it on news when driving

I think it is perfectly normal for you to be a little scared. I do not like taking medications as I tend to get the side effects. But, if you have battled the weight for a long time, it might be worth trying it. You can always stop if you do not like it.

+1 to this. I've lost 32 lbs (227-195). There have been some side effects but nothing horrible (mostly poop). And I just don't think about food all that much anymore.

I lost 40 lbs and it was so good for me - bloodwork was bad and is now great, I can exercise without foot pain, I am no longer worried about heart attack. At 180 lbs I am still 10 lbs overweight by BMI but decided to just hold here as it's a good weight for me (a tall person) and not between clothing sizes.

You still should pay attention to your diet and exercise - you need protein, water, strength training. But it's life changing.

Suuuuuuure. Not sure why thin women are actively trying to discourage people from taking these medicines. You're worried about the competition? Don't be, I'm married with children, won't be out there trying to poach your husband anytime soon.

That is a bald faced LIE. You people will stop at nothing to make it seem like these drugs are bad. You know what’s bad? Being 40 pounds to 150 pounds overweight!

It definitely has an impact on skin. My cystic acne is gone, fewer visible pores and overall texture is great.

I totally agree. My skin is much clearer, brighter and smooth.

Go for it OP.

I'm 58, 5'7", and my highest weight was 243 lbs.

I've been on zepbound for 15 months and I currently weight 161. I've lost a full third of my body weight.

I've been a great responder, with minimal/manageable side effects. I eat practically whatever I want - I just want/need less. If I overeat I don't feel great for a few hours. Otherwise, I'm just living my life - but sooooooooo much more happily, comfortably and healthily. My blood pressure is back down to excellent levels, my foot pain is gone, my anxiety about whether or not I'll fit in the roller coaster seat is non-existent, my self-loathing is dramatically reduced, etc...

It has been miraculous for me. I hope you have an equivalent experience!!

You should switch to tirzepatide/wegovy. Clearly semaglutide isn't effective for you. Although yes, the dose is too low after 3 months too.

Sorry I misspoke. I meant tirzepatide/zepbound obviously. You're already on wegovy.
