Well why don’t you, like, get curious, and like, read about it? Scroll through Insta and like, get a feel for it? There are white sand beaches on the actual island itself too.

I have done many hours of research while planning trips because people often suggest it and I always choose another Caribbean island instead. Hotel reviews in particular are really bad if you aren’t staying at the Ritz.

No way we just went to Puerto Rico for the first time and loved it! And we are picky and have travelled a lot. We stayed at Wyndham grand Rio mar and it was amazing. The scenery was so beautiful, beach on one side mountains and rainforest on the other. We had an amazing time and went to come back.

I just got back from El Conquistador. The kids and us had a great time. And we ventured out of Fajardo to site see. The island has a cool vibe and great food. Go if you want adventure and family fun I say. It’s a short flight from Dc and VA.

Rental cars are really inexpensive in Puerto Rico. My boyfriend drove all over the island while I stayed at the resort.

He particularly loved visiting the rainforest.

We love Puerto Rico.

Almost all of the young people we talked to are in the National Guard. Puerto Ricans proudly serve in the US military.

Despacito with Luis Fonzi is the number one Latin song in the world. It was filmed in Puerto Rico. This is truly a beautiful song.

I like to visit places in the US in Puerto Rico is a great place to visit.

At least 20-29% of Puerto Ricans currently serve or have served in the US military. This is a higher percentage than those who serve from any other state in the US.

I’m from Puerto Rico and this is such a hurtful obnoxious statement. I didn’t grow up in a dump and not everyone on the island is poor. I wish I could show you around my island. You would come away with more opened eyes and bigger heart. And you wouldn’t be so inclined to make such superficial and shallow comments either.

Do we have poverty? Yes. Are some places ugly and run down? Yes. But so are many parts of wherever you came from too.

I challenge you to put things in context next time you travel. Get curious about what you see and ask why. And realize that the stuff you hate about my island is also found anywhere else you choose go, yet in some places they just do a better job at hiding the ugly.

Bermuda is way smaller than Puerto Rico and has way less people. You can’t compare the two at all. There are gorgeous beaches in PR (we have more than 300 beaches and I can in fact say that I’ve been to just about all of them during my lifetime) and upscale, extremely classy and elegant places, and extremely classy, elegant, educated, and strikingly beautiful people (like me), in PR. If gorgeous mansions are your thing, we’ve got them. Five star resorts with one of the top spas on the planet? We have it. Top James Beard Award winning experiences that make your heart and tastebuds sing? Got that. We have plenty of adventure too and elite high class hobbies for the millionaires and billionaires living on the island too. They seem to know all these secrets that you obviously don’t as they continuously fly their private jets in from all around the world to land on Puerto Rico and also choose to make my island their home (and I might add, also put their kids in our top private schools, which I invite you to take a hard look at the Instagram pages of Baldwin School, Tasis Dorado, St. John’s in Condado, Robinson School, Marista, etc. just to see how much they kick ass with their parties, their community work, and top academics that would put most people to shame.)

The majority of us are bilingual, even trilingual, (yo, moi) too. Can you say that about yourself?

I love my island. And I wish you weren’t so feeble minded, and short sighted, so you would fall in love with it too.



There are so many factors going into what you see as a tourist and it’s also based on how educated you choose to be when you visit my home.
