I hate smokers

My neighbors insist on cooking fried onions on every glorious day possible. Their kitchen exhausts directly into our yard. Cannot go outside because the backyard smells of garlic and onion all the time. And it gets in my hair and clothes. I’d rather it be cigarette smoke.

Another on the short list of reasons I remain in the US.

I rarely smell cigarette smoke. But I do smell pot all the time. It’s so gross. I actually prefer the smell of cigarettes over pot. Seems to dissipate faster where pot just lingers forever.

Our neighbor smokes like a chimney and we can’t go into our backyard or have windows open without smelling it.

I know it’s his right but I get so aggregated I hate to admit it but I hope nature takes its course sooner rather than later so my kids and I can enjoy our backyard in peace.

Second hand smoke is more dangerous. You and your kids might go first just for wishing bad in your neighbor.

A not-close friend of mine is a smoker. She flat out told me she "likes the lifestyle" of being one and would never try to quit.

Cool cool. Now do the same rant against weed smoke.

You won’t, of course. You’re probably ok with weed smoke, and are afraid of being called racist if you did complain about it.

I'll rant about weed smoke in addition to cigarette smoke. And it's not racist to complain about it - people of all races smoke weed. It smells disgusting and gives me a headache.

It affects everybody within smelling distance, moron.

I hate people who hate random groups of people rather than the behavior that is offensive. I also hate people who ignorantly assume all smokers are unintelligent and weak when the reality is that many are highly intelligent and strong in many ways. I also hate it when people get "aggregated" about anything.

Some smokers are polite and conscientious about it, believe it or not. Try not to be so narrow minded.

I’m 60 and when I was in my 20s people could still smoke in offices in DC, not to mention restaurants and airplanes. I always hated it, and now that I rarely have to contend with cigarette smoke, it’s doubly awful when I encounter it.

But with weed smoke everywhere, I feel like we’ve taken a giant step backward in the fight against second-hand smoke. It’s frustrating that sometimes I can’t even open a window without the smell wafting in.

Not a smoker but I hope someone mm blows smoke in your face to knock you over. Who the hell deliberately provokes violence. You are an idiot!

Smoking is legal and it absolutely legal in your own home and property just as having noisy children is legal. As long as smokers are smoking in places that allow smoking, I can choose not to go in these places.

Agree. It's so gross.
