Circle back around to desperate housewives and devious maids

Also, why women kill was an amazing show but it's only two seasons and neither of them have anything to do with each other

I really liked. Never have I ever. It's a teen show that's a bit drama, but does not take itself seriously at all and there aren't very many characters to remember

I will look into VM and Parenthood. I tend to like shows that "move along" - no heavy deep dramas like This is Us that I really cannot stand but something too heavy doesn't work like Breaking Bad.

I also have a hard time with stuff that requires too much brain cells like tracking the 1000 characters of GOT. I tend to enjoy fantasy genre as in SciFy - I really enjoyed Battlestar Galactica the reboot and Grimm/Travelers. But it has to be rooted so I didn't care for the OA - was a bit too much fantasy there for me.

I love the teen shows like Vamp Diaries and Maxton Hall. I'm wondering if I should try Gilmore Girls or Dawsons Creek? I loved so much Friday Night Lights and Buffy.

If you like teen shows try Never Have I Ever.

Another vote for Veronica Mars, especially since you liked Buffy. They have similar vibes.

Parenthood is another great one, although a totally different genre.

Oh my gosh Veronica Mars, I haven't thought about it in ages but it's great. Just don't watch the second (and last) movie after the series ended.

Okay, I know this was not the assignment…but since it is Saturday…if you want to watch a movie tonight, I recommend “The Half of It.”

It is modern day version of Cyrano. A very well done coming of age film.

NP. Thank you for the recs. I haven’t seen either and will be checking them out this weekend. The trailers look promising.

Have you watched Firefly?!? Sci Fi plus Joss Whedon!

I also really liked Silo, which is supposed to have a second season coming out. But I’d recommend reading the trilogy first.

Teen show: The OC.

I think you'd like My Lady Jane since you listed some other fun fantasy shows. I didn't have that high of expectations going into it but then I couldn't stop watching. The first show that has done that to me in a while!

I loved Gilmore Girls, but Dawson's Creek didn't really keep my interest. The storyline for the first 4-5 seasons of Gilmore girls is really good.
