Staying fit in my late 50s by teaching fitness classes and lifting heavy.
-eating way less than I used to. -walking a lot -sunblock, of course, but I also own a self tanning spray booth. Worth it's weight in gold. |
Tell me more about your spray tan booth, please! Cost, maintenance, where you bought, what kind. I spray tan a lot and love the way it makes me look and feel. I love the Norvell booths and pay $60/mo for unlimited tans, so pretty good deal. But a pain to get there sometimes. |
I purchased a "tent" on ebay for I think $20, it's a three sided thing I just step into. I bought a spray gun on Amazon (MaxiMist Lite Plus HVLP Spray Tanning System) and use the Norvell Premium Sunless Tanning Solution - Venetian. I spray my face nearly everyday - lightly, and heavier and the rest of my body when I'm showing legs and arms. I've gotten good and spraying myself and if we're in swimsuits, my husband sprays my back. |

Spironolactone for acne.
Mini tummy tuck. |
Nooo, looks matronly with age. I know someone (naturally petite) who had gotten a tummy tuck plus breast implants after having kids - at that time (mid 30s) she looked awesome. Now 15 yrs later it looks v weird since her breasts look huge compared to her tiny frame and actually makes her look heavy even though her waist is still small after the tummy tuck. |
| Upper eyelid surgery, Botox, retin A, vitamin c all worth every penny |

Yessss, for me at least. |
| Lasers. Expensive but so much more effective than topicals |
My MIL is 76 and looks 96 only because of sun damage. She is otherwise in incredible shape. My own friends who haven’t been good about sunblock look older than me. |
Nope. |
No, your BB cream isn’t enough. You need to get a good layer over your whole face a neck and chest (if exposed). You likely aren’t using very much BB cream to provide much protection at all. Elta MD and Skinceuticals make good ones. |

Sunscreen, vit c serum, tretinoin, and ILP 2x yearly.
Minimal alcohol, no smoking, exercise (increase collagen production), and maintain healthy weight with minimal fluctuations |

Breast reduction.
Based on all of the responses here, I’m guessing I need to try some tretinoin? I’ve been lucky with genetics, and I’ve really never worried about putting anything on my face except moisturizer. But I’m 53, so maybe it’s time. |
