Best pizza of these 3: Italian Store, Pupatella, or Stracci?

Italian store for semi-NY (it hasn’t been as good recently)

The Italian Store original (Lyon Village) is better than the pizza at the Westover location for some reason. It could be that the ovens are so well seasoned at the LV location.

It hasn’t been that great at LV recently. Crust was too thick/undercooked.

Probably because they are closing soon

Fan of Stracci. We just plan ahead and do take out. It’s around the corner from us. The other two are Ok. We did pupatella a lot during the pandemic.

I have NO IDEA why people glaze so hard on the Italian Store. DC must be so bereft of decent italian Delis that they think the garbage Italian Store serves up is good. The sandwiches are terrible and the pizza is pathetic.

No one who is a reg at Italian Store in North Arl is going to switch up to a place in Crystal City!

Agreed. Their pizza is the exact same as ready made grocery store pizza. Their sandwiches are nasty and everything is insanely overpriced. In the Westover neighborhood people seem to think all their little restaurants are something special and they’re all garbage.

Modo Mio is excellent.

I like Italian Store pizza. Not a fan of Pupatella.

Italian Store is good, but you can’t touch it on a Friday night. With the volume of orders and the teens running the show, it’s a hot mess.

Puppatella is good, but can get expensive quick.

Not familiar with the third one.

As someone born in the NYC suburbs, the best I’ve had is Tony’s in Fairfax.

Love Andy’s but the location is hella inconvenient.
