little girls clothes back to school

Ok, so the weather is nice, but the summer dresses just don't seem right for back to school. What others with little girls doing for this in between time (I admit I can look a bit goofy during these months before fall truly hits too). Realize this is not an issue of natl. security or anything, but would love some advice from some other mothers. (My daughter is in preschool).

We are sticking with our summer dresses/skirts, and tossing in a new pair of capri pants here and there because mommy is too impatient to wait to put them on her. I can't wait for Fall...

We're using the same clothes. I'll start to layer tees under dresses for a jumper look. As the weather shifts, I'll swap pants for shorts and then add a thin cardigan. I won't go to a new wardrobe until prob late October. (DD also has a habit of growing out of her clothes mid-season, so I don't rush it anymore!)
