I grew up in NYC in the 90s and all everyone listened to rap and rnb. My favorites are "No Diggity" "California love" and "One more chance". |
If we can include hip hop, I love Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It." Reminds me of being a kid.
Also liked Can't Nobody Hold Me Down. There's more because other than oldies, rnb and hiphop was what my family listened to, but it's not springing to mind. |
Oops, first line should start of "If we can include RnB..." |

Too many to choose just 1! California Love, No Diggity, Hypnotize are all faves. (though Hypnotize is not Puffy, I don't think.) I also love "You Can Do It" by Ice Cube. My 3-year-old daughter does too, because that's our potty motivation song. (as in, if she's having trouble pooping, I'll say "you can do it, get your back into it" and then she starts wiggling her little butt around and singing along.) |
Agree with PP there are too many to mention. A few of my faves:
Bust a move- Young DMC Rosa Parks - Outkast Nothin but a g thang - Dr. Dre Today was a good day- Ice Cube Push It - salt n peppa |

Killing Me Softly (but pretty much the entire Score album) Hard Knock Life Nothing but a G Thang Whatta Man Regulate Juicy They Reminisce over you and....Baby Got Back (yes, I admit I love this song) |
Anything by Bone Thugs-N- Harmony, 2pac, and Naughty by Nature |
