8 week old - too much sleep?

Anonymous
Here's hoping I won't jinx myself by putting this in writing, but is it possible that my 8-week old is sleeping too much? She has started sleeping 8 hours a night and still takes at least 1 3-hour nap and several other 1-2 hour naps during the day. She swaddles to sleep at night and for 2 of her daytime naps in the crip (other naps are usually during our daily walk or in the swing while I'm in the kitchen, etc.). I'm EBF for now and she's growing like a little weed (I think she's at least 12 lbs now) so I'm not particuarly concerned that she is sleeping instead of eating though she's recently gone from 8 feedings a day to 7 and sometimes even 6 (and our nursing sessions have gotten longer). Any other champion sleepers out there? Is this something I should worry about or just say a constant prayer of thanks and keep on going?!?

She's fine. Be thankful and move on.

She's fine! My only advice is not to be too proud of yourself and your fabulous parenting and sleep-training skills. I was that way and baby #2 was a HORRIBLE sleeper. Hubris will get you.
