Terrible vaginal odor at 3 mos pp

Anonymous
I don't know what to do about this, but I have a terrible vaginal odor. I would say its fine for about 6-9 hours after I shower and then gets progressively worse until the next shower. Even in the shower, I can't get the odor to go away until I have literally put soap up into my vagina. I tested negative for any infection. The smell isn't really fishy, it's more like an acidic or sulphur smell I think? It's just really strong and awful smelling. This cannot be normal, right? What should I do?

Did your doctor check to make sure they didn't leave something up there, like a piece of gauze?

Go to the doctor. Stupid to post this on a forum like this.

I think you need to visit the doctor, it is one of the best thing to do and never let it go through like that too long or it might have complications that you cannot control in the future.

Count me in as an other "oops, look like we left some gauze up there" lucky winner. I was so grossed out but at least it solved the mystery of odor that would not die. With my second baby, I actually instructed the OB to double-check me before I was discharged, because there was no way I was going through that again.

Stupid of you to post when you lack elementary reading comprehension. Obviously she went to the doctor if she was tested for infections.
OP, get a second opinion, from a dr. who's willing to do a more thorough investigation. Good luck.

DON'T put soap up your vagina!!! You will get a yeast infection from doing that, and it will add to your problems!
