"From Scratch" Cupcakes

Does anyone know where I can find some awesome cupcakes made from scratch? Whether it's a SAHM/otherwise but the cakes must be tasty. We are looking to order 200 and maybe would like to order a few in advance for a tasting.

| I like the ones from Buzz Bakery. I haven't been in there for awhile but Sprinkles in Potomac was selling cupcakes made by someone locally. I only had one once but it was quite good. |

I thought they were all from scratch, including the supermarkets.
Bakeshop is so good. I think they're much better than Georgetown, Sprinkles, etc. But have you ever had Wegman's cupcakes? They're the best of the supermarkets' cupcakes. |

Nope. Mix, at least some. And I don't know if Crumbs' cupcakes are from a mix or not, but they're made elsewhere and shipped in, which isn't helping the flavor any. |

thanks for all the suggestions. I think we'll try quite a few before settling on one. Yep most cakes baked in large quantities are made from a mix which is not very tasty. thanks again |

They might be made from scratch but they are not tasty. Overpriced and awful. |
