weird display of the website

Is it just me? The forum page is spread far across the screen but when I open individual threads the page is squeezed together with empty white space on either side of the screen.

Hmmm...a different user here. Looks normal to me.

Have you shut down and restarted your browser? Have you rebooted your machine? I would recommend that you do those things first to see whether either will solve the problem.

This looks like it is happening with Internet Explorer. I'll try to fix it. In the meantime, try Firefox, Safari, or Chrome.

Had the same experience, now fixed. Thanks for posting, OP. I thought it was just me.
