discussion forum on adoption

I wanted to reiterate my post in the general parenting section from 8/18. I am an adoptive mom and would greatly appreciate having a place to post queries to other adoptive parents. I know many adoptive parents are willing and eager to offer advice to others who are considering or navigating that path. For example, I suggested a local member of the adoption bar to a prospective adoptive parent seeking legal advice.

One person indicated that there are adoption forums out there but 1) I don't know where they are and would not be sure I had found a good one and 2) DCUM is a known quantity with local DC-area information and contacts and 3) someone could easily post a link to other places.

I also think it is a good idea, and I would love the opportunity to support such a forum.

Oh, I meant to reply to this thread. I am planning to set up this forum. It obviously requires changing the live site, so I want to do it when there are few users. However, the site has been very busy. Maybe over the weekend. Go outside and play people.
