Tell me about Westlawn Elementary

Dh and I are thinking of looking at a house in the area, but we have no clue about the elementary school there. Middle school is Jackson and HS is Falls Church.

Why is it bad? Note, I grew up in an area that spends something like 2K per year per pupil...and I turned out fine. Is it a school that would be awesome anywhere else in the country but just not in VA?
Also, DS is 8 months, so I imagine we could move by the by the time he get to HS (or the HS could be completely different by then). |

| My friends liked it especially the smaller class size and the fact that other children were all in easy walking distance. Seems like a nice close knit neighborhood. |

| The school was just renovated. It's Title 1 which means small classes and lots of resources available to everyone regardless of income. Nice families and kids. |
