Hi! Does anyone know of a half day kindergarten program that works with special needs kids? I fear that my son will be eaten alive in a public school this year (doesn't turn 5 until August), but needs some academics or his behavior will deteriorate.
Thanks for any suggestions! |
| Look into Maddox which is very popular. Diener has an early K class -- great student/teacher ratio so the kiddos get lots of individualized attention. Beth Ami is starting a K class - not sure of the target population. I believe JCC and Washington Hebrew also have K classes -again, not sure of target. Finally, many people used to mention Children's Learning Center in Rockville a lot. Although a few of the schools are religious, they are open to everyone. |
| The 4th Presbyterian School has a half day kindergarten (or at least did a few years ago). It has a strong traditional religious component so might not be for everyone. |
| PP here - I'm not sure if 4th Pres works with special needs kids. Sorry - didn't read the original post carefully. |
