Blue Bird of Alexandria and Tiny Tots

Does anyone know anything about these two day cares? What is the reputation? Good quality childcare?

When I was looking into Alexandria day cares a year ago I saw nothing but bad reviews about the management and safety issues. I never even went to look at them because of that.

Thanks for the response. Im new to this group and realized after I made the post that I could search or filter by daycare centers and past posts. I saw lots of bad reviews, but they were several years old. Wondering if anything has had any recept interaction or experience there?

My son is there, just finishing Kindergarten and I love it. They are affordable, clean, great educational program, very friendly staff. I have also seen these bad reviews and have to assume that a disgruntled employee or someone with some type of grudge has posted that stuff. I also almost did not put my child into school here but am so glad I did. All my co-workers take their children to these centers as well, some have been there from infant to Kindergarten. They all love it too. That's just my experience and perspective. They even serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks per day. My 2 year old is getting ready to start pre-school there in the fall.

My son was in the infant room at Bluebird, but we switched him to a place closer to our home. It was not a bad daycare and the teachers were nice and seemed competent. The issues I had with it were not major, but here they are:
1. Somewhat difficult parking situation for drop off and pick up
2. My son didn't have his own crib and had to alternate with another kid. (He didn't sleep in it much anyway, mostly in a swing, but it seemed odd).
3. There was not an attached playground/play yard for when the kids got older. Not a deal breaker, but a preference of mine.
Other parents didn't like the fact that the infant room was small, but then again, the kids aren't moving or going anywhere, so that didn't bother me.
