I don't frequent DCUM on a regular basis so maybe I missed it, but where has it been noted, documented that the scores are lower on the computer? I hadn't heard that and from what I've heard is if anything they may tend to do better. Yes, I know the math scores are ALL down this year but that's not due to the online testing. Other counties in Virginia have been giving elementary SOLs for years online so this is not such a new occurrence, just new here because FCPS is so large it's hard to get all on board with it. And yes, all elementary SOL tests will be online next year so it is a moot point then. All students should have online practice. They are taking their eCart tests online. That test is set up differently so they still need to practice the SOL online. They can actually do that at home. The TestNav is available on the VDOE website. I'll be surprised if the parents who frequent this board don't use it with their children. The schools need to do it for all but it can also be done at home too. Just wait until next year though!
