| Given we may not get power back until friday, and wed is a holiday, and I've got a 2 year old and a 6 month old, I'm thinking of getting out of town. I have friends in Columbus, OH, but am dreading a 9 hour drive with the kids. Any ideas for a close by place that might be fun for a few days? I'll be taking the kids on my own so a place with some amenities and activities nearby for a very busy toddler would be great. And cheap too. and super last minute. I know this is a dream but if anyone has thoughts, I'm open. |

Why not hop to a place nearby? Baltimore has quite a few things to do with kids (though possibly pricey). Philadelphia is also fairly close, especially by train (Please Touch Museum is fun).
If you want to go even closer, spend a couple nights in Frederick - there's Baker Park (pool/park), Greenbrier (lake), Paradise of Fun (bounce house in the FSK mall) etc. |
| 19:10 again. Forget to mention - do double check where you go in Frederick. It stormed here too! (though we have power, some other places do not). Same would go for Baltimore. |
| Philly area is fine. Or what about Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster? |
