Intercourse during IVF stims?

| I assumed this was fine as long as I was up to it, so we went for it this morning..day 8 of stims and will probably trigger on Monday. After some googling, I'm worried I shouldn't have. I feel fine. Thoughts? |

| Did anyone's RE advise them one way or the other during stims? Mine didn't mention it at all except to be sure my husband did his thing w/in 5 days of retrieval but not more than 2. They didn't mention any limitations on how this was accomplished. |

| if you feel OK then I'm sure it was fine. only issues i can think of would be with timing of egg retrieval as previously mentioned and ovarian torsion if you were very, um, acrobatic, but obviously that didn't happen or you'd already be in the ER. Good for you that you still feel up for it on day 8 of stims. i always felt like a bloated mess by then. |

| You may not want to close to trigger time just in case they cannot access an ovary and you will ovulate those eggs and you do not want to risk multiples, like high order multiples. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside a woman's body. |

| oh wow, to PP, I had no idea that could happen and that's really good information!!! We are having our ER next week and as far as we were concerned unprotected sex is A ok ....i guess not! |

| Same here - RE didn't care but did as it got closer to the egg retrieval. Need at least 2 days but not more than 4.... |
