Keurig coffee maker

We're considering the purchase of a Keurig coffee maker. Anyone have any thoughts about the quality of the coffee? TIA!

Good quality and lots of variety. It's more expensive per cup then a regular coffee maker. You can get good deals at Costcos or BJS (limited variety) or use the 20% off Bed, Bath, Beyond or Kohl's coupons.

The coffee is ok but I do not like strong coffee at all and I have to use the bold cups to get a mild coffee brewed.

We love our Keurig coffee maker, it's become our favorite new gadget. Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, ice tea in the evening. Expensive though...

We drink way too much for it to make sense but my IL's got us be anyway. It's great for when you have company and some want decaf etc. but if you drink more then 2 cups a day it becomes worthless.
Plus I am surprised that more people don't complain about how much trash it produces. But I guess that goes back to how much we drink daily

Also ours (and a few others I know) didn't last very long. They kind of petered out after about a year

I like mine but when I realized how much trash I was making and how much money it was costing, I bought one of the little refillable K Cups and just put regular grounds in there. Probably defeats the purpose, I know, but I didn't think it through that well. Bought it when my son was newborn and I was desperate for a very quick cup of coffee in the morning.

You do generate more trash, but considering that people often waste more coffee with drip coffee makers (they put too much coffee), your coffee usage evens out in my opinion.

As for us, we bought the fill-your-own coffe cups and fill it w Dunkin Donuts cofee. Much cheaper, and we re-use the coffee grinds by spreading it on the vegetable garden, it keeps the insects away.

We love ours, because my husband and I like different types of coffee.

I am currently drinking organic decaf (as I'm pregnant) and my husband loves flavored coffees (which I can't stand, even when not pregnant).

It is definitely more expensive than our regular drip coffee maker, but is much easier for the variety, and cheaper than starbucks!

overly expensive and not worth it imo -- I use my own preferred coffee in a reusable filter at a fraction of the price of the prepackaged stuff.

It's crap. Nasty-tasting, tepid, brown water.

Yeah, my SIL has one and the coffee is way too weak for me. I boiled water and coffee grounds on the stove ("cowboy coffee") -- much better.

Jesus what is the point? Unless you are at a hotel, how hard is it to just make coffee??!! Save the earth, people.

I'm the only coffee drinker in my house. I love it!
