Help my husband and I enjoy one last night!

My husband is deploying next week and we JUST secured a sitter for next Saturday night (7/7) to have a night to ourselves to really go all out before he leaves. We live in Alexandria and would like to go somewhere within 2 hrs of driving and have a romantic, fun 24 hours. Annapolis? Charlottesville? I need recommendations from anyone who has them! Thanks.

The Ashby Inn in Paris, VA is really nice. Stay in the school house and definitely eat dinner there. Ask to be seated on the porch.

I've heard really good things about Greystone. We haven't been there. It's a bit pricier.

St. Michael's is also nice. We stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin which has a nice pool and had a GREAT dinner at the Bistrot St. Michael's.

Scour groupon and Living social for their travel deals (if money matters). I just saw a few inns and places that looked cool at one of those sites. Might be worth it to splurge on something you otherwise wouldn't.
