Cape Cod - luxury hotels on western - end - not too far from Hyannis

Hello. Can anyone recommend luxury hotels or Band Bs that are not too far from Hyannis? Thank you.

Check for places in osterville. Otherwise the Chatham bars Inn is about 20 miles away. Look on Trip Advisor.

Chatham Bars Inn has luxury hotel prices, but the rooms are not at all what you expect them to be. My DH and I stayed there a few years ago after hearing how wonderful it was, and we were soooo disappointed. Horrible little room, uncomfortable bed, etc. We were sadly disappointed in the restaurant too. So I would not recommend going there at all. It's beautiful to go during the day and maybe eat lunch there (provided you're not expecting a great meal).

I've stayed there a few times and it was lovely. You need to ask for a room in one of the houses rather than in the main hotel building, which are indeed small.

The Wequassett is more resort like.

There are lots of nice B&Bs in Chatham - Gables Inn, Beach House, Captain's House.

Hyannis is a dump - was there yesterday. No redeeming qualities other than Pain d'Avignon.

Centerville is a sweet town, with a nice public beach in Craigville. No resorts there but the Fernbrook Inn is a nice bb. Also Capt Kelly's house or something like that.

Not really luxury, but New Seabury is nice.

New Seabury is a subdivision in Mashpee. I've been going there for the last 15 years - didn't know there was a hotel there. There is the Pomponessett Inn, but I think that is just a restaurant (not very fancy ... but great lobster rolls - even better lobster rolls across the street at the Marketplace!)

You can rent little town home types of places there.
