| Oyamel. Rasika. Teaism. |
| PP's suggestions in penn quarter are good. On the Mall itself I like Mitsitam cafe at the Museum of the American Indian. Showcases seasonal foods from the different regions in America - northwest coast, great plains, south America etc. |
| Chef Geoff's |
| Great suggestions. Keep 'em coming. Is there someplace that serves lunch with a view of the city (POV at the W seems to be open only for dinner)? |
|
Stay away from POV (and Chef Geoff's for that matter). I think the Source has views, and J&G has an ok view. Paul maybe?
Over by the Capitol there's Good Stuff Eatery and We the Pizza. |
| Central.... |
| Charlie Palmer steak has a view. |
| The cafeteria at the Native American Museum just won some sort of award. We've always enjoyed it there - it's a bit expensive for what it is, but it is unique and tasty. |
| My family members seem to like Old Ebbitt. They love being so close to the White House. They also like CG's and Jaleo. |
Yes, if you're not wedded to a restaurant with sit-down service, this is an interesting place to go. They offer food in the style of various Indian tribes. |
| Thanks for the great suggestions. We changed our plans will meet for dinner instead. I'll definitely look into the places recommended! |
| OP here. Is casual attire ok for dinner? It will be hot and they will probably be in shorts and t-shirts. Will MS kids like it? |
