I don't know. But I am tired of paying for the health care problems of uninsured middle class people. I have sympathy for the poor but not for poor planners.

I don't know. But as someone who is not american, it really amazes me that one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world, has people who cannot afford basic health care. For an outsider, this is just wild! So, hope that it gets upheld and people here get to really see the benefits of universal insurance.

As an American, I'm also amazed (and embarrassed) at our backwardness. We may have the best medical technology, but if millions of us can't use it, it's as bad as marriage being denied to many of us.

+1. We have many rights so why not health care as an entitlement and right not optional privilege?

Sadly, I think it will get overturned, at which point all the dumb sheep in this country who just blindly followed the GOP talking points will realize that there are actually some good aspects to the bill: coverage on parent's plans til age 26, no denials for preexisitng conditions, etc..

So, Republicans, what are your ideas for covering more people? How do you plan to keep costs down?

our attitude toward freedom and the handcuffing of goverment is why we are the richest and most powerful nation the earth has ever seen. we take risks, we are tough, most of us don't whine and we learn to take car of ourselves and our families without government "assistance" thats why the world has always looked to us (the grown ups) when catasptophe hits. we have been weakened over the years with creeping nanny state weakness so we need to get back in fighting shape to kick all your wussie butts into the future.
