My son (17) needs to get a background check for a job.
Does anyone know how to go about getting one? I was hoping with the Nanny forum someone here (either nanny or employer) has been-there-done-that. Thanks! |

| Wouldn't the employer be the one to offer and pay for the background check? Otherwise, you could use Intellus or http://www.backgroundchecks.com/, some sort of online check. |

Your son is being asked to check his own background? Or perform his own background check? That sounds a bit bizarre. As PP said, if his employer wants a background check, that's fine, but the employer should perform it and pay for it. And at least know how to do it. This employer sounds irresponsible to say the least.
