| Because I love my OB, I am sucking it up and delivering at Sibley. (Ugh, those rooms are small ...!) I know there are a ton of restaurants on MacArthur, but does anyone know which ones offer takeout or delivery? The only one I know of is Listrani's, and I'm not sure I'm going to want postpartum lasagna ... |
| This isn't really an answer, and I was there more years ago than I like to think, but I will say that I found the in-house cafeteria to be a world better than the delivered meals. Not sure why that is... |
| The cafeteria is good but there's also bambu (our fave) |
|
They will give you a packet of takeout menus that deliver around there. Apparently a lot of people order sushi as their first meal. I thought that was crazy. But guess what I ordered? Sushi! And boy was it good!
Also, the food at Sibley is actually not bad at all. I loved the italian ices. |
I ordered sushi all four nights I was there
|
| There is also Jetties for salads and sandwiches |
| Praline is very close and has daily takeout specials. Tara Thai is in Spring Valley. Same with the Belgian bakery chain. |

This place delivers to Sibley. We had it delivered after my son was born. Fabulous.

| Listrani's was what we did, but we actually picked up. Don't be so wed to delivery. You will be amazed, but you will not mind at all if DH leaves for an hour to go pickup food (and beer for him) and bring it back to you. He will need the break to decompress, as will, you. Just plan to send him on the errand to pick up whatever your heart desires. He will be very happy to do so. Wagshaws market on Mass ave has great sandwiches and some prepared foods. Good desserts too. |

There's a pretty good Thai place that we ordered from - they'll meet your DH in the lobby. Yum!

| I second jetties. Chicken out isn't far either, they have great chopped salads |
| Mmmmmm Jetties. |

| Jesus, my ex brought me back a peanut butter sandwich, hours too late (I ate the delivered meal - wasn't given any take-out menus). Glad to get rid of that cheap bastard. |
| I send DH out for sushi pickup (from Raku in Bethesda, our favorite) and 2 Amys pizza - yum! |
