Hypnobirthing recommendations

Anonymous
I'm looking for a hypnobirthing instructor in the lower Montgomery County area (Silver Spring, Bethesda, Chevy Chase or Rockville). I found some on Google, but it'd be good to hear from women who have taken/are taking classes. Who did you use/are using? What did you like/didn't like about the instructor or about the class? Thanks!!!

I used Lakshmi Landa and really enjoyed the classes (there were 5). My DH and I also met some nice moms and dads at the class. She's at this hippy dippy commune around the corner from BCC HS at 4902 East West Highway. HEre's their website:

FWIW, I had a great experience with hypnobirthing and really recommend it!

Not sure if you've heard of hypnobabies or not. I'm taking that course right now and am really enjoying it. It's a six-week course and I really like the instructor.

The class is in the Rockville area.

If you've narrowed down your searches and only interested in hypnobirthing, ignore my post. A lot of people haven't heard of hypnobabies, so I just wanted to throw it out there.

OP here--I'd never heard of hypnobabies before. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks! A friend of mine did it at the place on E-W Highway, but I think a hippie commune might be too new agey for my husband and me).

I'm going to take Sara Shelley's class located in Silver Spring. She also teaches yoga at Willow Street Yoga in Takoma. She has been recommended to me.

PP who took the class at the commune here: just FYI half the people in the class were also new agey and half drove up in their Mercedes SUVs (we are talking about B'tha/CC here). They stuck pretty closely to the hypnobirthing book so I don't think it was that far out...
