Morey's Pier Amusement and Water Park located in Wildwood, NJ, Has Anyone Been?

Hi, I am considering a visit on August. My law firm offers discounted combo tickets.
Please let me know if you've been.

I'm there right now! It's a blast for kids 2 - 16. Or parents who can be silly and undignified. But elegant, it's not.

Thank you PP. Where did you guys stay? How was the food? Were the rides and waterparks fun? How's the beach area? Long lines? I basically need a full review as you can tell, LOL

ITA. We grew up summering in cape may and would drive up to wildwood once a week for rides and boardwalk fun. It really is blast for kids ands teens. I prefer a calmer, quieter beach and driving in to visit wildwood, but do not like to stay there.

It is hot, tacky, noisy, and stressful.

I was there a few weeks ago. Never again.

I'm 14:35. We're back from Wildwood.

We did a 3-day "stay and play" pass where you stay in a hotel owned by the Morey's Piers conglomerate, and then you get an all-you-can-stand wristband for the amusement parks and water parks. We stayed in the Star Lux, which has been there since the 1950s, and it was adorable. Clean and comfortable, with no luxuries.

I don't disagree that the place is noisy and tacky. It's ... a giant amusement park at the beach. What's more, there is nothing refined and elegant in the entire town. However - and this surprised me -- it's very clean and safe. There are more derelicts pissing in doorways in Rehobeth or Dewey, for sure.

It's no "hotter" than Fenwick, The Quiet Resort (TM) or Avalon, NJ, or any other $$ mid-Atlantic beach that 13:05 prefers. Our family also spends time in the Cape, mid-coast Oregon and Camogli, Italy. So la-di-da.

Sometimes you want chilled baby cucumber compote with local, heirloom sweet onion, and sometimes you want fried Oreos.

OP Here...thanks for all the feedback.
My girls are a new 5 and 9 years old....we just want to get away for a couple days and take them to a waterpark and amusement park. Since my law firm has the discount combo tickets I figured this is something we could try. I am not looking for fancy at all but not crap either, lol.

Any ideas on hotels?

Thanks!

Actually it is a lot hotter than Fenwick, Avalon, NJ, or certainly Cape Cod. The presence of concrete, machinery, many many businesses and the boardwalk make it far hotter than places without those features.
