| Ok, did anyone else get a good laugh out of the news that Cindy McCain is on her way to Georgia to "assess the civilian casualties?" I am sure that is highly comforting to Georgians...don't worry...Cindy's on her way!! WTF?! What's she going to do? Try and lift everyone's spirits with coupons for reduced manis/pedis? |

Granted, it's a Gerson piece, but the facts are there, nonetheless. Note that I am a long-time Obama supporter, but this knee-jerk stereotyping of Cindy McCain just because of how she looks and how much money she has gripes me. |

Could not agree more, plus if people would read a little about Cindy McCain, they would understand that she has done humanitarian work for years, well before John McCain was in her life. She does a ton of work for children's foundations that have facial anomalies. They have seven houses. So what, according to the NY times Obama claimed 4.2 million last year without his wife's income. God knows how many houses he will have when he is 70. My guess is it will be more than 7 at that pace. I'm sure Cindy McCain has always been proud to be an AMERICAN! |

How are you sure Cindy has "always been proud to be an AMERICAN"? And in all fairness, I think most people HAVE read more about Cindy, and that is precisely the root of the criticism (not the way she looks as suggested above - huh??). The charitable organizations for which you say she worked so tirelessly? She STOLE from them to support her DRUG HABIT. She also had an AFFAIR with a married man who had children and a disabled wife. This is not someone who can serve as any kind of a role model. For anyone. |

Well ok, that's hard to disagree with...but I really doubt that if she looked like a Stepford Wife, but hadn't had an affair/been a drug addict/stole from charities that people would be so critical. At least I know I wouldn't. |
