The other day a man punched a toddler in the face for crying and now this
damn I am glad to be in virginia http://washingtonexaminer.com/man-stabbed-in-takoma-park/article/2500141 http://www.wtop.com/41/2906417/Woman-punched-at-bus-stop-because-of-crying-child |
You really feel insecure about your decision to move to VA, don't you? |
I'm a Virginian and I hate when people say/post things like the OP. This sh*t happens everywhere. |
| Continue to be baffled as to why anyone cares where others choose to live.... |
| Am baffled about OP's obsession with Takoma Park. Very strange. |
Confused how they know the suspect fled "into" PG County.

You must not read our crime reports. I love living in a safe part of VA but this is just nuts. Every neighborhood has a crime story. |
WRONG, sorry - I live in McLean, and there haven't been any toddler punchings or stabbings in my neighborhood. Ever. |
But the walkability, culture, and diversity there outweigh any potential punching of my DD or me getting stabbed there. So, I'd rather deal with the assaults than move my family to a safer neighborhood with better public schools. We can walk around. Despiet punching/stabbing. Walking is the most important thing. And being green with organic stuff - it can heal puncings/stabbings.

True McLean is nice...but have you noticed that a lot of people in McLean tend to get kidnapped? Or do I just notice that because I work in law enforcement. They have like 1 a year, which is WAY over the national average.
WTF is going on with that....even adults. Just weird. |
McLean folks also seem more likely to get raped/sexually assaulted while out jogging/running. |
| Or in VA the government just invades your vagina. Whatevs |

Except for one earlier this month:
