The man who Mayor Vincent Gray appointed to the head of the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development apparently resigned in the midst of in Philadelphia, accordinG

FWIW, I just heard on NPR's Morning Edition, that it involved an affair with a subordinate in which he was absolved of charges of special treatment. He admits poor judgment, though. The administration says they know about the issue and it is not disqualifying.

He is actually a Fenty crony, not a gray one. And if we dq'd everyone who had an affair in DC, there would be no one left to run the city.

From all I've heard of him, he is actually a well-respected housing and economic development official, and he helped turn around DC's housing agency. Seems like a good hire, maybe ray is actually going to care about something other than himself now.
