| I would like to switch RE but stay within the same practice. I noticed on these boards that some people have done it, so I was wondering whom did you speak to, did you have any issues...basically, how best to proceed. I am a little uncomfortable about it but find my RE really annoying and it's not like I have had any success to justify sucking it all up. |
| It is a lot of $ and impt so switch if you would like. You would not be the first one! |
| Which practice/RE's? |
Yes, that's what I am thinking! |
It's CFA. I am a little reluctant to reveal REs but I found a post while back where someone mentioned in passing (this was not the topic) the same switch that I would like to make. |
| I am at CFA and I am very happy w/ Abbasi. |
| I did it with cfa a few years ago and essentially explained that it was either leave all together or switch docs. That was enough for them. Good luck. It's way too important to stay with someone you are not happy with! |
Whom did you explain this to? Did you tell this to your RE? Did you make sure before that that the other doctor would take you? |
| I was at CFA and I switched from Rifka to Sacks. It wasn't an issue. |

Hi, its 22:24. I switched from Abassi to Sacks and then, at least Abassi was in the Arlington office and Sacks in DC, so that probably helped. But my main issue was cycle timing. At the end of my last cycle with Abassi (iui) Sacks was on vacation, so they wanted me not to switch at the beginning of a new cycle. They ultimately let me change, though when I wanted to but that part took pushing.
I believe most of this was through the office manager, though Sacks agreed to take me as a new patient first. He said it was fine to switch and that he has lost patients to other doctors in the practice as well, so no one had hard feelings over it. Good luck..hopefully you won't have any problems. Just be sure to advocate for yourself! |
