I need to get a bunch for a party next weekend. I live in DC so Wegmann's or Costco will not work.
Any recommendations? |
| Is that cannoli place in Union Station still there? |
| No - Vaccaro's closed down it's DC area locations - I was thinking the same thing - maybe you could make a trip up the BW parkway to Baltimore and go to Vacarros? |
| The Italian Store in Arlington. |
| I think Vaccaros sells cannolis in the grocery store, maybe Giant?? |

Vaccaro's is now located on Brookville Road in Silver Spring (not too far off of Georgia Ave., just inside the Beltway). Not sure if it is only a wholesale location or if they have retail for regular customers as well, and their website is sadly lacking in details. Call them?

Are you not allowed to leave the district? |
... sorry, I was just hoping for places nearby as opposed to some place in the outer-burbs. I live in DC, the party is in DC, and I work FT so a 40 minute trip each way will not work. I should have been more specific that I do not have a Costco membership and that was the reason I was not looking for that as a recommendation. Thanks for the tips. |

A. Litteri near Galludet in NE has good cannoli.
|
+1 LOVE their cannoli. |
| Tailor gourmet has the- penn quarter and h st |
| Taylor I mean |
| Pete's A Pizza (or Pete's New England A-Pizza - I forget) in Clarendon has decent cannoli. It's about a block or two away from Clarendon Metro. |
| You can get them at Vace. Call and they will make as many as you need. As for Pete's, there is one in Columbia Heights at 14th and Irving or at Fessenden and Wisconsin, no need to go to Arlington. |
