we're looking into pediatricians - anyone have any reviews or experience with any of the above? thanks!

No no no no no to Nicole Lang. Do a search, you'll read dozens of threads on this. Other peds mentioned also get a decent array of discussion but none seem to draw nearly so many dissatisfied former families as Lang.

Interesting. We go to Dr. Lang's office and really like the practice (we've seen her, Dr. Sage, and the nurse practitioner). I can't speak to any of the others, but I've been happy with her.

We went to Pullman and Ariza for 3 years (until we moved) and LOVED them.

Hamburger and the whole CPA practice are the best! My personal favorite is Dr. Sepe... .

Dr. Hamburger is our ped. She is very experienced, is great with kids and a really good listener. I have complete confidence in her judgment and I trust her. I wish she could be my doctor too.. Our experience has been great. The practice is busy, but I think that is the norm around here.

Two thumbs up for Drs. Pullman and Ariza. Our DC has some serious health issues early on. The dedication and care they showed was amazing. And... they did not hesitate at all in referring DC to a specialist. No ego involved at all! They both have strong personalities and opinions, so if that might rub you the wrong way, maybe not the best bet. But, they are really amazing.

We've been with Dr. Pullman for almost 5 years and feel that DS has gotten consistently good medical care. But, she has a very strong personality and is sometimes off-putting in that regard. For example, at the 3-year appointment she chastised us at some length for being "really so far behind" because DS was not completely potty trained (for the record, he figured it out totally just a month or so after that). We also have some issues with the way the practice is run, particularly the delays waiting to see the doc and waiting for shots (but those issues seem consistent with the complaints about most other larger DC ped practices, so we haven't left). Also note, Dr. Pullman doesn't work on Mondays or Fridays as far as I know -- at least for well-child visits -- so it can be hard to get appointments with her unless you schedule well in advance.

We love Dr. Lang's practice, and recently they have been making a really strong effort to reduce wait times. My last 4 visits I've waited less than 15 minutes.

It;s hard to get in with Dr Hamburger - we found she just didn't have any appts available when our kids were born. But she is great if it works out. I love that practice though and all the docs we have seen. Once time we had something serious, my son got in right away and then they called over to Children's so the ER was expecting him (also, they are part of Children's so hospital records transfer automatically). Also, I think because they see a very diverse socio-economic patient base, they don't freak out about parenting styles etc.

We go to Kaplan at Hamburger's practice. Kaplan is great, and whenever kids have a mystery illness Hamburger is called it.

We had several terrible experiences (including letting my four day old baby wait for an hour and half to see someone) with dr Lang and are soooo glad we switched. It's amazing what a good pediatrician can do!

Does Hamburger's office have a separate well and sick waiting room? Also, how is her personality?

No, she does not have separate rooms. I second all the positive things said about her on this thread. She's down-to-earth, approachable but very knowledgeable and authoritative. I've trusted her and we've come up with collaborative solutions to issues my kids have. I would highly recommend her.

We had a terrible -truly terrible- experience with Pullman. My DC health was seriously affected due to their lack of care and not following the procedures.
I truly regret having been in her practice.
