December 21 2012...who believes it? Why or why not? |
Oh, this is going to be interisting.
Should we start hoarding food? |
I thought it wasn't the end, just the end of how we currently live? Please update me on what some are expecting. |
Mr. Camping? I think your 15 minutes are over.
-Andy Warhol. |
Haha, OP here. I really am just curious as to what peoples' theories are about it! I don't necessarily believe there will be some catastrophic event like those cheesy 2012 movies, but I am willing to believe some things will change. It is something that really does fascinate me even though I know nothing about science/natural occurances, etc. Just wondered what others thought! |
My wife is due on December 10th. I'm not worried about the world ending, since I will be too busy to notice if it does ![]() |
Maybe we could have some end of the world parties?
Is that date near the end of hannukah? Can I send happy-apocalyps cards instead of the standard xmas cards? |
Why would you hoard food for the end of the world??? You won't be around to eat it. You should be doing the opposite -- use every last cent you have. |

I believe it. Because Dick Clark died. Ergo, no more New Year's Rocking Eve. |
12/21/2012 wasn't Camping. That's the Mayan prediction. |
Literal much? I think this person was making a commentary on the general theme of end of the world predictions. |
Not holding my breath that anything will change, but wouldn't it be cool if it did -- even just a little?
Nothing catastrophic -- something unexpected. Like the second sun in "2010." |
Well, remember the Mayan calendar did not have leap days, so December 10, 2012 isn't really the end of the world. That date has already passed, and well, nothing happened (that we know of - though maybe something small was set in motion! who knows). |
