Can anyone share thoughts on Belle View ES and/or Hollin Meadows ES?

We are looking at houses in the 22307 and 22308 zips in the FFX Co part of Alexandria. Have been able to find discussions on Waynewood and Stratford Landing ES on this board and elsewhere - not so much on Belle View or Hollin Meadows. Anybody have experiences with either of these two? TIA!

My friends with kids at Belle View ES have been very happy there.

I have one friend whose child will be going to Hollin Meadows next year, but otherwise don't know anything about that school.

Personally, I think they are all just fine and each (incl. WW and SL) have their pros and cons.

Hollin Meadows is great!!! Go visit and you will fall in love. The campus has been turned into an outdoor education center with vegetable gardens, a Virginia Native Habitat and a form and texture garden. All of the kids word in the gardens with the science teacher and outdoor education coordinator. The PTA is very organized. Teachers are very caring and know their stuff. It's a Title I school which means it gets extra money for reading and math specialists, and all kids benefit. Again, go see it. Mr Gates, the principal, is very nice and will take you around.

I went to Belle View, but as that was almost 30 years ago, it probably won't help that I loved it there.

That said, my niece just finished at Belle View three years ago, and my sister and brother in law were very happy with her experience.

Hollin meadows is great. Pp is correct, grounds are a little habitat to learn about planting and growing, etc...nice little school. We love this area, we are a little further down the parkway and think its a secret little enclave south of old town.
