Anyone familiar with this series? I read this book to my kid last night -- can't help but think that the author is sort of giving the characters gay-lifestyle attributes. They are two male animals living together, driving in convertibles, vacationing in a gorgeous villa near the sea, lunch includes a bottle of wine (a KID'S book, mind you!!), and the dialogue is very adult like. I know I'm going to get flamed. FLAME AWAY!

| Who cares? If it's a book geared toward children and your child enjoys it, then it shouldn't matter. There have been rumors swirling around Bert and Ernie for decades, yet I can't think of one family who has ever banned Sesame Street because they might be - gasp! - gay. |
