Toward preventing unwanted pregnancies.
That should make the pro choice folks happy. And the pro life people should also be happy. And even insurance companies because it saves money. Lets not pretend abstinence education works. Educate kids, but acknowledge that it is not enough. Make it easier for women to get birth control. Lets not force women to bear the entire burden. Make it cool for men to use birth control. Develop a shot for men like depro-prova and figure out how to get the to use it. I guarantee that these efforts will do more to reduce unwanted pregnancies than the current efforts to force women to carry pregnancies to term against their will. |
Too liberal. Won't pass. It SHOULD make the pro life and insurance people happy but.... have you been following the news? |
None of the things listed requires legislation, just the redirection of efforts by activists on both sides of the issue. |
Many of the anti choice crowd don't approve of contraception either, so this wouldn't get their energy or their votes. |

Pro-life people: But God Waaaaaannnnnnnttttteeeeeedddddd that egg to be fertalized! Your killing sperm cells, they can feel too! OMG, your killing cute little babies! |
If God wants a baby to be conceived, birth control is not going to stop Him. Might as well go on the pill. |
Yawn. This is a political red herring.
It's an emotional red button for people who want to divert your attention from the intellectually challenging political questions. JUST GET PEOPLE EXCITED ABOUT ABORTIONS! (The dumb and excitable fall for it every time - on BOTH sides of the aisle.) |
I'm 100% pro-choice and I have to agree. I'm 6 months pregnant with a child conceived on PCOS an birth control. |
