Her mother is in fact Spanish, and her Spanish (in video #3) sounds native to me. (I lived in Madrid for ten years.)

How do you explain the curious change in her English “accent” then?

She didn’t take it down. It’s still there.

There was one of her in front of the elevator before. I believe that one is down.

To clarify it was one like literally on her way to the procedure.

Oh, I don't/can't explain it. And I'm not a Hilaria fan.

I'm just saying that her mother is Spanish (regardless of where she has lived) and that Hilaria's Spanish sounds native to me.

How do you know her mother is Spanish?

She’s a Spaniard who spent MOST of her life in the United States. She lived and worked in Massachusetts as an attorney.

How is her last name Hayward?

Exactly

Dr. Hayward-Thomas is NOT Spanish. My aunt went to med school with her and they were neighbor for 20 plus years outside Boston.

If anyone isn't clear Dr. Hayward-Thomas is Hilaria's mother. Her family was vacationing in Spain on Majorca, when Hilario was born there. She cannot be a Spanish citizen if her parents weren't Spanish. Birthrite citizenship in Spain is only given to children born in Spain with at least one Spanish citizen. Her parents have since retired the Spain. So it is true she was born in Spain and her parents live there. She does have a good accent when speaking Spanish but she can't keep it up n an involved conversation. Hilaria's father majored in Spanish.

What's youbemom? I can see it's a forum but is it like DCUM for NYC parents or just like a yahoo parenting forum?
