GDS needs to consolidate on one campus. This is a material element of the school's strategic vision.

I agree. But some of the previous posts seemed to be suggesting that if GDS doesn't get everything it's asking for (because of neighborhood resistance), then the neighborhood will end up with something even worse....(gasp) townhomes.

As a neighborhood resident, I'd be fine with townhouses. They would lack the concentrated impact of a school whose enrollment and faculty and staff at the site will be be more than twice the numbers today. And GDS is trying to jam as much as they can onto the site anyway. They even have to put a soccer field three stories high in the air on the roof of their new complex.
