I'm having trouble keeping everyone fed.

Oh, OP, were you missing attention from us that you have to dazzle us again? Either you are a troll or are living in a very low-cost area, not the DC metro. I defy you to post the menu of the place you order from to get this amount of food for $30. How do you split an order of wonton soup six ways?

Now I'm really annoyed. I actually wastes time posting a lengthy and helpful reply earlier in the thread. Now I know that op is a troll. Who the F would ever think that feeding take out chinese for a family of 5 incl teens could be done on $30??? one carton of wonton soup for the 5 of you? two entrees? get real. i'm outta this thread.

OP. Come on. Seriously. For real. I'm serious.

The Chinese food you listed is for 3 people max.

I just can't anymore with this you trying to feed several almost grown men like their 6 year old rabbits. This is just batshit. I can't.

Op here. I'm telling the truth. Most of the times takeout we have has pretty large portions.

OP don't listen to the rest of these trolls. They are most likely male geeks living in moms basement or divorced men and rightfully so!

Chinese food is very cheap in the DC burbs so 30ish for the amount of food listed is just about right. It's true really big kids eat a lot so you have to feed them more than you do OP. That chinese food is no good anyway and won't make them feel full. You need to try to get filling foods for them so they don't pig out.

And we have a 4th contender.

And you are the 5th contender for being a hard trying smart ass when you are just not.

If you'd read the thread, you'd know that many of the posters were women who buy food for their families. Not trolls.

OP, I feel bad laughing at what is obviously a clinical problem, but I am dying here. There are tons of therapists who specialize in the treatment of eating disorders.

I agree that OP must be a troll, or at least someone who came here originally with a real question but enjoyed spinning people up.

Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?

We alms is had left overs tonight when my husband took the rest of the lasagna and ate it. Lol

This was using 3 boxes of pasta, 2 jars of sauce, 2 lbs of meat, and 3 bags of cheese. I also blended up 2 head of cauliflower just to add more filling to the lasagna. I guess it worked. My son asked for chicken wings next week for dinner. How many chicken wings are in a serving? I'm considering doing 7 per person?

Anonymous wrote:Op again, how much do you guys spend when you order take out?? We usually spend about $30 for everyone and since I wasn't spending enough on groceries, in wondering if I'm not spending enough on takeout nights.

What are you getting for that $30?

For your whole family?! Seriously, you aren't fit to parent.

7 wings a person?? For teenage boys? No. Triple that, at least, with lots of hearty size. My normal size DH would easily eat 2 dozen wings or more if they were the main course. A dozen wings is an appetizer for one person. Wings are tiny, I am a woman with a small appetite and I don't think 7 wings would be nearly enough for me.

Wings aren't the main course! They just want wings somewhere on the table.
