| Another kid just asked this week to leave his Bethesda-area private boys school due to academic and behavioral issues...where is he going? Bullis. How does this happen when it's only October? |
Interesting that you did not mention the Bethesda-area private boys school (hmmm...I wonder which one?) he is leaving due to academic/behavioral issues.Your point please? |
| My point is that Bullis seems to have a large number of mid-year acceptances due to kids being counseled out of other schools. |
| 18:45, I don't know if you are a Landon teacher or parent, but it is really a violation of school confidentiality to share this info. What could be your possible purpose except to embarrass the kid or trash Bullis? Either way you demonstrate a lack of class. |

07:28 I doubt 18:14 is a Landon teacher / administrator.
I'm a Landon parent and we did just have a kid leave my sons current 8th grade class for Bullis due to academic reasons. Ironically, he does play football but is not that good. Nice kid but just couldn't handle the course load. I never knew Bullis accepted kids in the middle of the semester.... |
It takes a big woman to insult an easily-identifiable teen-aged boy on the Internet. You must be so proud! |
| Here is my philosophy. I don't think half of these posts, on any thread, are true or are written by people with first hand knowledge of the topic at hand. Whether they are kids trying to stoke school rivalries or are just bored and looking for something to do, or adults with an ax to grind, or adults that are bored and are just trying to stir things up in a bizarre attempt to entertain themselves, many of the posts seem to be anything other than genuine. My advice. Take all of it with a grain of salt. |
She said an 8th grader from Landon so technically he could be 18.
|
Oh, that's right, an eighteen-year old is not a teenager. Oh, wait... Dumb ass. |
18 yo is an adult not a boy - it was a joke - lighten up! |

I graduated from Holton in the mid-90s and even then if you got kicked out or couldn't cut it, you went to Bullis. This is actually funny timing, b/c DH and I were in line for a moon bounce in front of a group of parents at Taste of Bethesda who had been talking loudly about their Bullis days. When time came for the next group to enter, they hustled their kids in ahead of the other, smaller kids. Pushed them to cut in line, even when another parent called them on it. They even had the gall to argue back, totally admitting they were jumping the line, and saying there really weren't that many people waiting.
DH and I nearly fell over laughing at the fact that these are the same people taking in all the cheaters when these parents were in school there. It's just sort of sad to see the pattern is still going on. Do they have trouble filling their classes? Is that why they're willing to take all the problem kids? I can see why it would be hard to recruit from where the campus is, although it is gorgeous. |
Yeah, we got that. You can't even get an insult right. Boy or adult, the guy is still easily-identifiable, which is reprehensible. |
| Everybody on this thread is reprehensible - let it die already. |
| amen. |
Left for academic reasons..... What will bullis do for him then that Landon didnt? |
