This was not a random shooting

Two things can be true - they were deployed as bait with no care for their safety; and killing is wrong. Now let’s turn to gun control, hm?

Sure, gun control. You go first. What policy is going to take the millions of guns off the streets? Google says there are nearly 400 million guns in the US. It's too late to change this. What we need to do instead is help people understand what it means to respect people regardless of their political beliefs, the color or their skin, their religion, etc. No one should be saying anything other than this shooter is a deranged human and should be punished severely. There is nothing that justifies this behavior.

Whose fault is it that there are 400 million guns and this will only increase?

No 48 hour rule today, huh?

There is no 48 hour rule to call for better gun control in the wake of a gun crime.

+1

Common sense gun control is ALWAYS ok.

Nobody wants to hear your political rant minutes after a murder.

New poster and I do. How many more shootings will it take?

Most people do.

Luckily it takes more than the opinion of 1,291 likely voters way back in 2021 to infringe upon the rights protected by the U.S. Constitution.

Yes, the odds will be in favor of the candidate who supports gun control.

OK, this guy was not carrying around an assault rifle in DC, where guns are illegal anyway.

Where did he get his gun?

Would a red flag law apply?

Republicans continue to block common sense gun control.

They have blood on their hands.

There are 400 million-plus guns in America. It's too late for "gun control", "common sense" or not. "Gun control" died at Sandy Hook, when 21 little children will slaughtered and *nothing* changed.

Either way, Republicans have blood on their hands.

That’s all terrible but your comment almost makes it sound like harassing random afghan nationals would make sense, which of course it doesn’t.

Hmm. Reminds me of the Afghan national who shot up Fairfax County police at a traffic stop earlier this year after going on a tirade about failed governmental promises.

Trump's law enforcement agencies have done far less of the important work of keeping us safe from terrorists and actual threats in favor of immigration enforcement theater. He has made us less safe. It’s a travesty. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/16/us/politics/dhs-agents-reassigned.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share

It sure is a good thing Trump/MAGA has been focused on hassling Latino landscapers.

So much for the white MAGA theory
