The Virginia governor's debate is tonight!

Does anyone remember when Gilmore ran (and won) on just one issue -- ending the car tax?
That's what Sears should do. That's the kind of thing we voters care about

It’s because Jones is not Miyares. I would crawl across broken glass to vote against Miyares.

Jay Jones wants children murdered. He texted that he wants bullets in people's heads.

He also drives like a reckless jerk. 116, which is 46 over the speed limit. His "punishment" was 500 hours of community service at his own political action committee (no conflict of interest here)! You can't make this up. Yet somehow (please do tell us) you think he's better than Miyares?

I'll wait for your answer PP. That doesn't sound deranged at.all.

I am a NP wading in here.

I think the cringiest moment of the debate came when Spanberger refused to condemn the calls to violence by Jay Jones; she just stood there, staring straight ahead, just just ignoring Sears like she did not exist.

DP. I only watched a few minutes of the debate, but Spanberger absolutely unequivocally denounced the texts and all calls to violence. I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Now contrast that with the national debate where Donald Trump said "they're eating the cats and dogs." I think I'll stick with the Dems as opposed to Trumpy Sears - who by the way even Trump won't endorse because of...a) he doesn't think she can win b) he is being petty because she wouldn't endorse him last election c) she is a black woman.

I didn't see Trump on the stage last night. Where was he?

Here’s a good and balanced recap; plus I think the whole thing is linked there too:

Sears won. I suggest you watch the brutal video yourself. It's an hour of spanberger avoiding all questions and looking like a deer in headlights.

Spanberger answered complex questions thoughtfully and with nuance. Questions like how Virginia is going to power data centers without crushing electricity bills. Sears just interrupted nonstop! It was nuts! She has no plan, only soundbites.

DP. I did watch it and didn’t see any of that. You’re just making stuff up.

Sigh. No, it doesn’t. We don’t even have aliens on this planet, and no humans are “illegal.”

You’re wrong.

Virginia does pay for illegal aliens/non-Virginians/migrants/undocumented migrants to go to college. But those veterans kids - they are the problem. 🙄 That is the Democrat platform.

That’s not what happened at all. She unequivocally condemned his remarks. Said they were abhorrent. Why are you lying?

Aren’t spouses and children of disabled vets already eligible for assistance through the DEA program? Why would there need to be a state program?

What tax do you want to increase to offset that loss in revenue?

Don’t expect an answer. This thread is full of outright lies and no one ever responds to the reasonable questions calling them out.

MAGA don’t have a platform, just slimy campaign tactics.

Who cares? Jim Gilmore won on that issue alone. Virginia survived.
