This is what I don't get about people here. You're American, you don't know anything about how the Royal Family operates. That's okay - why should you? So why do people come here saying all these strange conspiracies are a FACT? Or saying it's a FACT that the Royal Family has/should act a certain way?

William rides on horseback every single year. Catherine watches the Horse Guards Parade with her children from the balcony of Whitehall - unless she is taking the salute for the The Colonel's Review, as she did last year. Then they all travel back to Buckingham Palace - William on horseback/Catherine in a carriage with the childre - to watch the flypast as a family, which they did.

They need Americans to care so they visit the UK. Royals are a well funded tourist trap.

Oh look, the Brit who disdains Americans, and who thinks every innocent question is a conspiracy theory, has entered the room. The previous poster explained it nicely without any of your hysterical finger-pointing.

Lean back on your chintz chair with the doily antimacassars and take another sip from the Wedgewood teacup you bought at a chain store.

They really are. How do I notice other kids growing so fast but not my own? Like, how are the royal children so big and tall, ALREADY?!

My 11 yo is 5’8”. Is just genetics.

She looks lovely. I hope she continues to feel better.

Y’all are so funny.

+1. Stop telling our daughters that sickliness is the look they should aspire to.

DP. She looks lovely for a women finishing chemo. In the People link upthread, in the first pic, she's been crying or on the verge of tears. And the full body pics show that she has lost weight, although the modest clothing hides a lot.

No, sickliness is not lovely. However, she is lovely and she is sick.

With the qualifier "for a woman finishing chemo" you're right. But nobody upthread said that.

It was understood by everyone.

Uh, no. You guys were glorifying her eating disorder before she got sick.

This was her before she got sick. Sorry but these are the muscular legs of a woman who works out - not the legs of an emaciated woman with an eating disorder. She looks thin today but she is going through CHEMOTHERAPY. Of course she does.

She looks emaciated, skin and bones. Not wonderful or lovely or healthy.

It’s Di’s eating disorders all over again, with chemotherapy thrown in.

Kate’s “loving” public needs to stop saying it’s a great thing. Just don’t comment at all, or limit your comments to her hair or smile or something.

I’m so much thinner than before marriage and kids. I don’t have an eating disorder. Some of it is aging - especially my face is not as youthful and “full” as when I was younger. I’ve had periods of stress where I lost weight but wouldn’t classify as eating disorder. I think she’s the same. Naturally thin and now stress and health issues and age have made her thinner.

+1. She's very thin, not emaciated (Google will show images of what that actually means). There seems to be a particular poster who is adamant that Kate Middleton not be viewed as an adult woman who can make decisions for herself, and that others wishing her well are harming her. It's bizarre.

That picture was from 2019. Also, you could have used this one but you didn't:

Good try but her legs look even more toned and muscular in that picture. And are you trying to tell me that people have not accused her of having an eating disorder since the day they knew her name?

You think even anorexics don't have muscles? Her legs are objectively bony. And nobody accused her of having an eating disorder until she got married, you made that up.

Google the picture of Kate making Nicole Kidman look fat. Oh wait, you won't, so for everybody else here it is: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2013700/Kate-Middleton-A-waist-Nicole-Kidman-look-dumpy.html

You are a sick person. This is Diana's eating disorder all over again, and it's members of the public like you who are to blame. Stop it.

I look like hell just when I am upset and can't sleep.

Money. She has access to all the best products, makeup artists, etc. Even chemo is presumably less stressful for her (though it’s still brutal and awful, not trying to discount that what she’s going through is AWFUL) because she doesn’t have to worry about childcare, medical bills, making meals, cleaning a house, etc.

True that. I just had a deja vu while writing a post on another thread! I know I am so exhausted; my forehead is throbbing, and it will take me this whole day to recover. The week was going good; then I had an issue that had me up Wednesday till past midnight; then I was getting ok, but another shit show last night—at the same time, working full time, commuting from MoCo to Arlington.

Unfortunately, unrelated to this, people see an eating disorder in so many women as chic.

I look this excited when I’m on my way to see the in laws too.

There are pictures in the carriage of her looking genuinely happy, and I'm not the insane Anorexic-Kate-is-Lovely poster.

It’s okay to admit you hate Kate.

A non-answer.

I wish Kate the best and a full recovery. Including putting on 10 pounds (at least) when she's done with chemo.

You're the one who demands she starve herself for your photo-viewing pleasure.

LOL geez it was a joke. She often looks somber in the car on the way to events then turns on the smiles when on stage. We all do to some degree.
